On January 6th, the DTU Association for Intellectual Women was officially established with the support of the DTU President and Provost and the Danang Association for Intellectual Women. Attendees included Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, DTU President and Provost; Associate Professor Nguyen Thi Nhu Liem, President of the Danang Association for Intellectual Women; and a lot of DTU lecturers and staff.

Currently, DTU has more than 1,129 staff and lecturers, of which 42% are female. The establishment of the DTU Association for Intellectual Women will help them develop their talents, knowledge and sense of responsibility towards building DTU to become one of the most prestigious universities in Vietnam. The DTU Association for Intellectual Women will also collaborate with the DTU Women’s Society and the DTU Union to foster promising qualified female lecturers and staff.

Ms. Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU Vice-Provost, said: “The DTU Association for Intellectual Women is to connect female DTU lecturers and staff in their work and lives. Their scientific works, technical innovations and solutions to improve the efficiency of work will contribute to the development of DTU and of each of the members.”
The Executive Committee of the DTU Association for Intellectual Women counts 40 members, 11 of them make up the Standing Committee. Ms. Le Nguyen Tue Hang was elected President of the DTU Association for Intellectual Women. Ms. Vo Thi Kim Ngan, Dr. Vo Thi Ha Hoa, and Ms. Hoang Thi Xinh were elected Vice-President.
