To help underprivileged children have a happy Lunar New Year, on Jan 16th 2011, the DTU Youth Union held an event called “A Lunar New Year for Needy Children” at two houses on Ngu Hanh Son Street. Representatives of the Union, Vocational Training students and sixty children participated enthusiastically in this extramural activity.
A DTU Student Presents Gifts for the Needy Children
DTU students showed their affection and generosity by presenting the children with many gifts, including books, notebooks, cakes and candies. At the same time, the DTU Youth members taught them games and other group activities. These useful items brought the children much happiness as a as prelude to the New Year.
Currently there are five buildings in Danang housing over two hundred needy children, which are supported by non-government organizations. In the spirit of solidarity, kindness and sharing, DTU is always raising money to support the needy. These annual activities have built strong relationships with the local community and society.
