On October 31st, 2010, the DTU Trade Union held its sixth congress, for the term of 2010 - 2013.
Participants included Ms. Dang Thi Kim Lien, Chairman of the Danang Labor Union, Mr. Hoang Van Dao, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Danang Labor Union, representatives of the Board of Rectors and 150 of the 500 DTU union members.

On behalf of the fifth term Executive Board, Mr.Nguyen Duc Thanh, Chairman of DTU’s Union, summarized tasks completed in his 2007-2010 tenure. He also set a course of action for the 2010-2013 term.
Looking back on the past three years, all DTU Trade Union members met their objectives. The Board of Rectors also contributed significantly to the stability and development of the university, by graduating qualified students into the workforce. Moreover, the union fulfilled its political obligations to the Party, the country and to the Vietnam General Labour Confederation.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Dang Thi Kim Lien highly praised the accomplishments of the DTU Union during the last term and the outstanding individual contributions to these achievements. Meanwhile, she also recognized the excellent support of the entire faculty in displaying the spirit of creativity and solidarity to achieve the best results in many different areas. She also emphazied that, in the next term, DTU should try to increase the political awareness of union members.
At the congress, 15 members were elected for Trade Union Committee for the next term, 2010-2013.
