On May 6th ,2010, the DTU Youth Union together with Student Affairs Office held a seminar entitled “Managing Innovation at DTU from 2010 to 2012”.
Participants included representatives from the Danang Youth Union, DTU’s Board of Provost, the Deans of Departments and over two hundred students.
At the seminar, most of the speakers focused on finding solutions to issues in teaching and studying at DTU. Questions asked, for example, were: Why do we need to improve the quality of education? Why does cheating in examinations and graduation papers still prevail? What should we do to increase teacher qualification? At the seminar, many useful suggestions and solutions were proposed by students and faculty for improvements.
Dr. Vo Thanh Hai-DTU’s Vice Rector outlined the problems of Vietnamese education in recent years and his reasons for innovation management education awareness at Duy Tan University. At the same time, he emphasized the necessity of innovation management to achieve practical benefits for both students and the university over the long-term.
Then, the participants signed a commitment not to cheat in examinations or graduation papers in the future. They also adopted action plans for students and lecturers to participate in managing innovation program and to improve teaching quality between 2010 and 2012.
