On March 22, Quacquarelli Symonds, (QS), a UK educational organization, ranked the world's leading universities by broad subject area. DTU was listed in the 51-100 range for the first time, in Hospitality & Leisure Management in the Social Sciences & Management category.

This year’s rankings include 1,600 institutions and fifty-four disciplines in five broad subject areas. DTU appeared in three of the broad subject areas, Engineering & Technology; Natural Science; and Social Science & Management.
DTU's success in Tourism education stems from its strategy to accredit education quality, promote international cooperation and enhance research projects in the fields of Hospitality and Tourism, Travel, Recreation, Aviation Services and others. Over the past decade, DTU has focused on collaborating with renowned universities internationally to create the most advanced programs.
DTU has expanded a long-term partnership with Pennsylvania State University (PSU), one of the fifty leading universities in Economics & Business Administration education in the US, and one of the world’s five leading universities in Tourism studies. PSU shares programs in Hotel Management, Tourism Management, and Restaurant Operations Management with DTU, and graduates are awarded from 19 to 21 international Course Completion Certificates by PSU, which are recognized globally.
The DTU offers a comprehensive and diverse ecosystem for its Hospitality minors, with a series of five-star hotel practice rooms, the UTravel company, a buffet restaurant, a cafe and so on.

DTU HTi currently offers courses in Tourism and Hotel Management; Tourism & Travel Management; Event and Entertainment Management; and Restaurant Operations Management. The International Hotel Management and International Restaurant Operations Management courses scored 771/845 points, meeting 91% of the criteria, and received UNWTO accreditation. In addition, DTU also partners with the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the Asia-Pacific Tourism Association (APTA) and the World Association for Hospitality and Tourism Education and Training (AMFORHT).
DTU HTi also has agreements with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, ranked number one in Tourism & Hospitality studies, and several institutions, where students can enhance their professional skills and boost their confidence, experience cultural diversity and quickly find paid internships or full employment on graduation.
