On Dec 12th, 2010, the ACCA Training Center (Association Of Chartered Certified Accountants) and Duy Tan University held a seminar to introduce the organization and its Global CAT (Certified Accounting Technician) Certificate to Duy Tan University students and local businesses.

At the conference, the ACCA training center presented the real benefits of the CAT certificate at the intermediate, primary and advanced levels. The CAT program is an integrated program with two subjects at the elementary level, two intermediate subjects and five advanced. It takes fourteen months to study all three levels and complete the course, which provides a basic knowledge of standard international accounting and auditing methods. A CAT certificate provides a solid qualification for several financial careers, including accountant, assistant auditor, tax assistant, administrative assistant and administrator. Also the program is entirely taught entirely in English, so students will be able to improve their English to bring them up to international standards. With a CAT certificate, participants will have the opportunity to transfer to Oxford Brookes University in England to enhance their accounting qualifications.
The CAT certificate is recognized in over 170 countries. The ACCA is the largest professional accounting association, with 122,000 members and 325,000 students. In Vietnam, the ACCA has two representative offices with 400 members and over 5,000 students. Duy Tan University is their sole representative in the Central and Highland Region.
