Dr. Phan Thi Viet Ha, Head of the DTU Department of Food Technology & Biochemistry, said: "The competitiveness of the teams this year is very intense. The participants were carefully selected from universities and colleges across the country and most of them had competed in the National Student Chemistry Olympiad many times before and accumulated much valuable experience. This is the second time that DTU has participated, so their performance deserves an honorary award for the effort they have expended.”

The contest is an ideal occasion for avid Chemistry students to exchange ideas, learn, and express their deep interest in science. Pham Hoang Phuc said: “Before enrolling in the contest, we were nervous because it is highly competitive and requires an in-depth knowledge and problem-solving skills. Now we hope to learn from the other teams to learn even more."
