Workshop “Comparing the Biden and Trump Foreign Policies”

On April 16, DTU held a workshop entitled “Comparing the Biden and Trump Foreign Policies”. The speaker was Professor Pham Quang Minh, former Provost of the University of Social Sciences & Humanities at Vietnam National University in Hanoi and Director of the National Foundation for Science & Technology Development (NAFOSTED). Other attendees were Associate Professor Le Thi Chau, DTU Dean of Law; Dr. Hoang Thi Huong, Dean of Social Sciences & Humanities; and lecturers from the two faculties.

President Joe Biden was elected during the Covid-19 pandemic and Donald Trump’s legacy left him with several major challenges. Questions immediately arose about future international relationships between the US and others, which strongly depend on amendments to current foreign policy.
