“The term ‘AI’ is no longer unfamiliar to us, as a great many AI products are being put to everyday,” said Dr. Phu. “AI products are the brainwaves of talented and creative experts. Every year, DTU graduates hundreds of highly-qualified engineers, who strongly contribute to the development of Vietnamese science and technology. This seminar provides a deeper understanding of AI and robotics, to create the ideas to achieve your desired research objectives.”
Mr. Sharma, Senior Digital Technology Expert at McKinsey & Company, talked about ways that artificial intelligence is changing the global economy. He showed five examples of how investment in AI will continue to grow exponentially, and three trends currently making AI more accessible. A discussion between the DTU IT majors and the guests on the subject of “AI in Vietnam” ensued.
AI is becoming the focus of the technology community in many countries. Twenty EU members have proposed joint development strategies for AI research and education. Other countries are investing billions of dollars to become world leaders in the field. With the explosion of AI, Vietnam is gradually preparing to enter this difficult and challenging race. During the AI Is Now seminars and the Vietnam AI Grand Challenge, a hackathon will be held with prizes of up to $40,000, with the opportunity to present their winning projects to businesses. After Ho Chi Minh city and Danang, a seminar will be held in Hanoi.
