High-Scoring New DTU Students

Hundreds of applicants with High School graduation scores of 20 or more have chosen to enroll in DTU.

Le Van Duc from the Dakrong district of Quang Tri province won major awards in high school. In grade 11, he participated in the local Outstanding Student contest for Grade 12 students, won first prize in History and later came second in the same Grade contest. In grade 12, he won a consolation prize in History in the National Outstanding Student competition. He believed that students should learn not only from textbooks, but also from reference works, newspapers, television and other sources. It was vital to practice thinking, writing and speaking skills regularly to make the learning process more effective. As a result, he scored 27 in the 2018 High School graduation exam, with a 9.25 in History and was awarded a full scholarship for the DTU On-Site Study-Abroad program, developed in partnership with Keuka University in America.

Growing up in a farming family, Khanh Linh always prepared diligently to achieve a high score in the graduation exam. Her hard work paid off. With a score of 26, she was awarded a full scholarship for the DTU On-Site Study-Abroad program. It is a wonderful opportunity to complete her dream of studying an American-standard training program at home, without having to worry about tuition fees.

In Social Sciences, it is quite difficult to score 8 or 9 in Literature, History and Geography. However, Cam Thanh scored 26.25 in the 2018 High School graduation exam, with a 9.5 in Geography. Cam Thanh decided to sign up for the DTU Tourism & Hospitality Management On-Site Study-Abroad program, in partnership with Troy University in America. The Tourism programs at DTU initially attracted her because they incorporated the teaching methods and materials of well-known foreign universities.

Tran Thi Yen Thuong, from the Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted in Nghe An province, scored 25.2 in the 2018 High School graduation exam. She wanted to study in a country with a well-developed education system to learn and broaden her career prospects. However, she still needed to be near her family because they were unable to finance a foreign education. She therefore researched advanced international programs available in Vietnam. When her classmates told her about the DTU On-Site Study-Abroad program in Tourism & Hospitality Management, with a degree granted by Troy University, she decided to enroll and earned a full scholarship for the entire course. “Nothing could be better than staying in Vietnam and studying in an advanced and international program with an American degree. I am completely happy now.”, Yen Thuong said.

Huynh Ba Trinh: 24.15

Many applicants took much time to select a suitable major and university.  However, for Huynh Ba Trinh, it was quite simple. Ba Trinh’s older sister, Huynh Nhu Hien, was a final year Business Administration student at DTU and gave him much information. Trinh chose to enroll in the DTU On-Site Study-Abroad program in IT, in partnership with Troy University in America. With a total of 24.15, Trinh was awarded a full scholarship.
