DTU and Business

On August 17th, DTU and Hilton Danang (managed by the American Hilton Worldwide Corporation) jointly held the “Career Talk 2018” program, attracting many students and alumni of the DTU Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism. 

Mr. Kevin Park, Business Development Director of Hilton Danang, gave an overview of the foundation and development of Hilton Worldwide. He also told the DTU students about recruitment standards, employment policies and working environment at Hilton Danang to help them have a better understanding about their future jobs. Many job opportunities at Hilton Danang were also introduced  such as positions as Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Customer Care Manager, Marketing Officer and Accountant. 

  

The program became more and more exciting due to DTU students continuously asking the representatives of Hilton Danang a lot of questions. The issues that DTU students were interested in at the event, such as factors making up the trademark of Hilton, the importance of the human element at Hilton, the difference between Hilton Danang and other large hotels and necessary skills required to become a Hilton employee, were explained by experienced people in tourism.    

   

Vo Truc Quynh, a student of the DTU Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism said: “Working in a dynamic, stressful and challenging environment will bring valuable experience to those who are interested in Tourism. What the representatives of Hilton Danang shared gave us more important knowledge and skills to work with different customers in the future.”
