DTU Awards Internship Certificates to students from Taylor’s University

On March 11st, DTU held a ceremony to award certificates for completing the internship for three students from Taylor’s University in Malaysia. Attendees included Ms. Nguyen Pham Son Chau, head of Human Resources in Premier Village Resort, Ms. Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU vice provost and some other DTU representatives.

According to Internship Exchange Program between DTU and Taylor’s University, from Jan 09th to March 18th DTU adopted three students named Rully Hilman Simeon, Suliandi Husni and Cheong An Yong from Taylors University. This activity was aimed to widen the relationship and culture knowledge and communication skills for DTU students with countries in ASEAN.

After three-month internship in Premier Village Resort and Intercontinental Resort, three students majoring in Bachelor of International Hospitality Management completed their intern and were highly regarded as good employees. With different positions such as a receptionist, VIP service staff and customer relationship staff charged by Cheong An Yong, Suliandi Husni and Rully Hilman Simeon respectively, they had opportunity to work and practice the technical skills, international working behavior in multicultural working environment. Besides, in order to ensure service quality, they were    trained to be imperturbable to handle situations cleverly and reconcile the relationship among departments in resort for effective results. 
 
Rully Hulman Simeon said: “The internship exchange program between DTU and Taylor’s University gave us many precious chances in developing personal and working skills. We were not only trained communication skills in working, but we also learned the way how to connect with colleagues and interact with customers effectively. In addition, I took part in many interesting activities with DTU students. The unforgettable experience in this internship helped us broaden useful knowledge of culture and people in Danang as well as in Vietnam.”
