DTU Partners with NovoLanguage to Enhance the eUniversity Bachelor’s Degree Program

A Dutch business delegation of executives from 35 companies and universities in the Netherlands, led by Mr. Marten van der Berg, Vice-Minister of Foreign Trade of the Netherlands’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited Vietnam to expand trade and investment ties.
 
NovoLanguage, a fast-growing language institute and DTU signed a technology transferagreementto improve education quality, especially in the DTU eUniversity program.

NovoLanguage provides businesses and universities worldwide with innovative, professional, educational solutions and is selecting well-established partners in education and business here, in order to expand its presence in Vietnam.
 
As the first and largest private, multidisciplinary university in Central Vietnam, DTU has proactively collaborated with reputed partners worldwide to import the most innovative, advanced education and training technology.DTU and NovoLanguage will pioneer the application of speech technology for language learning online and through mobile apps. 
 
DTU has already been investing in advanced technology for eUniversity education. Since 2010, DTU has enrolled 3,000 students into 21 e-Learning programs, in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and Banking, Information Technology, Civil and Industrial Construction, English and Economic Law and has graduated 400 students into the local workforce. Meanwhile, DTU has signed agreements with several educational institutions nationwide to jointly develop its eUniversity programs, inHanoi, Hue, Danang, Ho Chi Minh City, Long An, Rach Gia, Long Xuyen and Ca Mau, in response to the various unique requirements of each location.
 
Students of eLearning courses at DTU study online and the university has invested in the development of training facilities, including the Data Center, the eMaterial Center, the IT Center andthe Visual/Audio Room, to provide students with rich and varied study materials, combining documented syllabi, and audio and video recordings of lectures. Web-based virtual classrooms allow lecturers and students tocommunicate, anytime, anywhere. In addition, using the DTU 3D Second Life virtual reality game,students can develop practical activities, discussion groups and exercises online and, at the same time,feel fully connected to their peers throughout the course.
 
Mr. Enter said: “The NovoLanguage system, including the teaching of Business, Management, Hospitality and English,will improve the quality of education at DTU significantly.Partnering with DTU is a first,important step for NovoLanguage,with its mission to: ‘AwakenVietnamese Student Potential”.Our innovativetechnology will help accelerate student’s foreign language and communication skills. Accordingly, using the most advanced, interactive methods, anywhere atany time, with our ‘deep learning’ technology, students will be able to improve their pronunciation through feedback, and, by interacting with virtual native speakers, handle various situations in different contexts.”
