Around 400 Contestants Participate in the 19th National Physics Olympiad at DTU

The 19th National Physics Olympiad is taking place at Duy Tan University (DTU) in Da Nang until  April 24th . Around 400 students from 49 universities, academies and colleges across the country are participating in the contest, marking the highest number of contestants since 1998. Contestants are competing in 3 main categories, including multi-choice test, experimental test and doing exercises.

According to Associate Professor Chu Dinh Thuy, Vice President of the Vietnam Physical Society, the 4-day contest aimed to boost physics learning and research activities amongst students, and to encourage young talents to promote their capabilities and creativity. 
 
The Olympiad is being jointly organised by the Vietnam Physical Society, the Viet Nam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Vietnamese Ministry of Education & Training, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Viet Nam Students' Association.
 
As part of the event, delegations participate in exchange meetings in Physics training and research. Several topics will be presented at the event, including "Application of Physical simulations in Animal behavior Research ", "Research of the Dynamics of Gas bubbles created after Laser-induced shock in a Liquid environment" and so on.
 
The contest’s awards ceremony will be held on April 24th.
