On March 25th, DTU and Hoseo University in South Korea signed a collaborative agreement. Attendees included Dr. Hak Su Kim, President of the Industrial Education and Development Institute of Hoseo University, Mr. Moon Soo Han, Technology Management Adviser, Associate Professor Le Duc Toan, DTU Vice-Provost and Dean of the DTU Graduate School and DTU international relations representatives.

Founded in 1978, Hoseo University is a progressive institution which is developing research partnerships with industries. With 20,000 students, the university is well equipped with ideal conditions for study and research and welcomes international students with attractive scholarships.
The two universities discussed expanding their partnership to include academic programs, lecturer and student exchange programs and sharing experiences, especially in IT.

Dr. Hak Su Kim said:
“Hoseo University now has close connections with more than one thousand small and medium-size Korean businesses. The university always gives priority to linking students with business. We focus on educating a skilled workforce to meet industry requirements. We have successfully established several research and practice centers, such as the Industry-Education Cooperative Research Center, the Industrial Technology Research Center, the Technical Education Research Center and the Environmental Biology Research Center, aimed at supporting and creating the best conditions for students and lecturers to learn, practice and conduct research.”
The event marked an important step in the relationship between the two universities and will broaden opportunities for student studies and internships.
