DTU Partners with the Korean Institute of Information and Communications Engineering

On January 22nd, DTU and the Korean Institute of Information and Communication Engineering (KIICE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Dr. Shin Seong Yoon, Public Relations Manager of KIICE, Mr. Truong Tien Vu, Acting-Dean of the DTU Faculty of Information Technology, and IT lecturers and staff attended.

DTU and KIICE will cooperate in research in Information and Computer Science, organizing international activities, such as conferences, seminars, workshops and training programs, with the possibility of faculty exchanges.

The upcoming international Conference on Information Technology, to be hosted by KIICE in Danang in June 2016, was discussed. KIICE chose DTU as a potential partner who has already successfully organized several similar conferences. DTU researchers plan to submit papers to help contribute to the success of the conference.  

In the last twenty-one years, the DTU Faculty of Information Technology has gained significant achievements and IT has become one of the leading fields of study at DTU. DTU has partnered with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), one of the four leading American universities in IT to transfer advanced academic programs and also collaborated with well-known companies, both nationally and worldwide, to graduate highly-qualified IT specialists.   

These students have won prizes many competitions, including a First in the 2015 IBM Hackathon, a Second in the 2015 Online ACM/ICPC Central Region, a Second in the 2015 Mobile Applications and others. 89% of IT graduates find jobs immediately and many work in management in positions, proving the high quality of an IT education at DTU.
