Seminar on Teaching Method Enhancement in Social Sciences

On December 3rd, DTU held a seminar on Teaching Method enhancement in the Faculty of Social Sciences. Lecturers and staff from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Political Science and Foreign Languages attended.

Dr. Phan Ngoc Thu, DTU Vice-Provost, said: “As we focus more on Natural Science and Information Technology, we need to improve our teaching methods of Social Sciences subject frequently because these majors are directly related to human issues and promote the development of other related scientific subjects. Every lecturer needs to identify the ongoing relationship between content and teaching methodology and find ways to put theory into practice in the development of state-of-the-art lectures and research projects.”

Many new and constructive ideas and teaching methods were suggested and discussed. 

Participants talked about inadequate training methodologies that have lost the interest of students, problems encountered designing new materials and so on. The seminar confirmed the spirit of DTU lecturers of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and their aspiration to improve their teaching methods through their dedication to the cultivation of their students.
