An off-site meeting entitled “Welcome New 2015 DTU Students” was held at the Tien Sa Port on October 18th. Groups of students from different faculties, including K21 freshmen, participated in activities together.
New student activities
With loud cheers and shouts of encouragement from their teammates, students of K21, K20, K19, K18 played a game called “The Bees Look For a Letter”, in keeping with the motto “Broaden Your Knowledge for a Brighter Future”. The “Miraculous Slippers” game required members of each team to coordinate themselves by jumping on two moving boards and reaching the finish line as quickly as they could. The most exciting games were “Sack Racing” and “Qi Gong”, where competitors had to blow up a huge ball which was 80cm in diameter.

Tran Trong Y of DTU K21 DLK8, said: “This off-site event was really useful and informative for the freshmen. It helped us to increase our self-confidence and improve our social skills. As a result, I have become more confident; I’ve proved my strength and made new friends from various provinces, which will help me in my studies and in my life in general.”
The off-site event provided lots of happiness and fun for the new and other DTU students.
