Seminar on University Study Methods

On October 16th, the DTU Youth Creation Club held a seminar entitled “University Study Methods”, to assist freshmen of class K21 by explaining the importance of effective study methods and bring students of different years together.

Experienced, older students meet the freshmen

Unlike the high school system, the university credit system allows students to be more proactive. Live interaction with the teachers in the classroom, combined with group work and careful research in the library and online helps them broaden their knowledge and improve their soft skills. Participation in research projects allows students to consolidate that knowledge and apply it practically in every-day situations.

“Today’s seminar was very useful for a freshmen like myself,” said Mai Nhung, of class K21 YDD1. “I now know how to draw up a detailed study plan, how to balance my studies with other activities and so on. I will join the university Youth Creation Club and take part in research projects to cultivate my knowledge and skills to add to my experience.”

Founded in 2012, the Youth Creation Club organizes academic and research activities to trigger student energy and creativity. In the future, the Club has promised to arrange even more events, to create an atmosphere of teamwork and stimulate student development.
