DTU announced the opening of the DTU Startup Club on November 27th. Mr. Ly Dinh Quan, Deputy- Chairman of the SME-DATADC, the DTU Board of Provosts, lecturers, staff and students attended. The objective of the club is to provide a forum for DTU lecturers and students to learn how to establish a new business and conduct the necessary research.

The club was founded for students to share their knowledge and experience, and to research business startup models. It will organize Startup Ideas contests and a special Startup day for students to put their ideas together. Then the club will select the most promising ones and promote them to investors.
DTU signs an agreement with the Danang Small and Medium Enterprise Development Support Center (SME-DATADC)
At the kick-off, information on the Innovation Incubator at MIC @DTU was presented. Its mission is to identify and encourage IT talents in Danang. The DTU Startup club will present the most innovative concepts to investors, who will then assist students to perfect their business projects. Several products invented by the DTU Center for Electrical Engineering (CEE) were demonstrated at the opening.
Mr. Ly Dinh Quan, Deputy-Chairman of SME-DATADC said: "Danang is identifying one hundred potential business leaders who will select and finance the best startup ideas. In doing so, a new cadre of local executives will evolve in Danang. We believe that the DTU startup program will feed many new, talented business people into the development of our city. As a consultant, I will provide DTU students with as many new startup opportunities as possible.”
The DTU Startup Club launched the 3rd Startup Ideas competition, where students will be asked to present their startup projects and products.
