DTU Awards 800 Million VND to a Graduate Student of the Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted

On September 5th, DTU leaders and lecturers visited the Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted in Hoi An, in Quang Nam Province, to commemorate the opening of the new 2015-2016 school year. Nguyen Thi Thanh, a DTU 2015 valedictorian, had just graduated from the high school.

Ms. Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU Vice-Provost, presented flowers to the teachers and students and wished them great success in the future. Nguyen Thi Thanh, a graduate of the Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted and a DTU 2015 valedictorian, received a full scholarship of 800 million VND, sponsored by Upper Iowa University and the DTU On-Site Study-Abroad program.

With great joy Nguyen Thi Thanh said: “It is a great day today. I believe that applying for the DTU On-Site Study-Abroad program is the right choice for me. It will widen my career opportunities and I will do my best to make my dreams come true.”
 
Working with Upper Iowa University to develop the On-Site Study-Abroad program, DTU is providing students nationwide with the opportunity to obtain a quality college education close to home, whilst improving the quality of education to meet increasingly high workforce requirements.
