A Female Disabled DTU student overcomes adversity to achieve success

Her legs were paralyzed as a result of a fever
when she was an infant. She is unable to walk so her parents take turns to take her to school. At the age of six, she
was too young to understand her parents’ worries and insisted on going to
school. On the first day of the new school year, her strong wish was to put on
her uniform and go to school with her classmates. Only when she found out that
she could not get to school by herself was she aware of her disadvantages of
having paralyzed legs.
Overcoming her difficulties, she tried to go to school as frequently as possible, despite bad weather. Her teachers and classmates helped her significantly and were willing to take her to school and back whenever her parents were too busy. During her twelve years of education, she has tried her best to overcome her difficulties and prove herself academically. Her proud parents, teachers and friends encouraged her to be strong and confident enough to take the university entrance examination. DTU always welcomes hard-working students, which provided Hoài Trang with excellent further educational and career opportunities.

Her optimism has nurtured her dream of becoming an integral part of the community. Hoai Trang has matured during her four years at DTU, where she has gained knowledge and experience to build a strong foundation for the future. Also, by researching internet sites in her studies, she improved her English. She could not afford extra English courses, so she learnt by herself and scored 450 points in the TOEIC test. Her knowledge of English has helped her learn even more.
Ms. Trang is one of the best students in the K15TPM class at DTU. With her excellent academic record, she was quite self-confident to accept an internship at the DiCentral Company for two months. Then, with continuing strong performance, she was offered a full-time job on graduation.
Enjoying her early success, Hoai Trang learned more to
meet the requirements of her teachers and DiCentral. Hoai Trang intends to open her own business to
help other students with physical disabilities to overcome their difficulties
and get good jobs.
Successes will always
come to those who try their best and make sustained efforts to overcome
obstacles. To Hoai Trang, when we lose something, we should not be pessimistic
but stay calm and listen. We will hear the beautiful sounds of life and the deep
affection of our family, relatives, teachers and friends. Try to overcome your problems and achieve
your success.
Hoai Trang always regarded DTU as friendly and loving. She believes that DTU is a great place for
students to receive encouragement and the strength to reap great rewards in
their studies and careers.
