On the 15th June 2013, three members of the Founding Board - DTU, FPT University and the Saigon University of Industry - met to promote the founding of “The University Alliance for Globalization”.
Because of the importance of globalization in higher education in Vietnam, DTU, FPT University and the Saigon University of Industry officially issued a Resolution to found “The University Alliance for Globalization”. DTU takes great pride in being the only private university in Vietnam to receive the Government Recognition Awards in consecutive years.

The member universities agreed that the enrollment of foreign students would strengthen the Alliance. So foreign students coming to Vietnam will be granted certificates by members the Alliance or affiliated universities, both national and international. The Alliance will also organize foreign student exchanges and international seminars to extend its reach.

Ms. Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU Vice-Provost and Chief Overseas Representative said: “It was our objective to create an international study environment for DTU students so we decided to enroll foreign students. DTU has been enhancing the quality of education according to international standards. Clearly, creating an international environment to help DTU students improve their foreign language and living skills is vital. Our purpose is to support DTU graduates to work independently not only in Vietnam but also in foreign countries.”
The advantages of collaborating on foreign student enrollment convinced the Founding Board to collaborate on “The University Alliance for Globalization“, so that it would offer more new opportunity for students to augment the quality of the Vietnamese workforce in the context of global integration.
