On 11th May, the 2013 DTU International week, entitled “Around the World” was celebrated by DTU Enrollment Center. The event was to introduce DTU’s study aboard programs and international partnerships to students. Many interesting activities took place such as booths to introduce the cultures of twelve countries, trivia games and a music contest. This was also an opportunity for DTU students to practice speaking English and to increase their understanding of the world.

Doan Ngoc Duc, a student in K16PSU–QTH said: “I feel very happy as our cultural booth won the third prize. Our booth was decorated with artifacts from Laos, with a collection of photos of the country and its festivals. We wore traditional Laos clothes to attract more visitors to our booth. The 2013 DTU International Week gave us the opportunity to talk about countries and learn more about different cultures. Information about procedures for studying aboard, including opportunities in Singapore was also provided”.
After two days, the closing and awards ceremony of the 2013 DTU International Week took place on 12th May. The organizers awarded first, second and third prizes for Trivia Contest, the Cultural Booths and the Music Contest. The event helped bring students together to broaden their understanding of modern education methods around the world.

In addition to faculties of highly-qualified, PhD. who have already graduated from universities in America, France, Russia, Germany, Canada, Korea and Belgium, and visiting lecturers from other countries, DTU often sends lecturers to the US and Singapore for training. DTU’s partnerships with well-known American universities include Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), Pennsylvania State University (PSU) and California State University (CSU). New study-aboard programs include 2+2 (2 years at DTU and 2 years in the US), 1+1+2 (1 year at DTU and 3 years in the US), 3+1 (3 years at DTU and the last year in Singapore or England) have been major turning-points in the quality of teaching at DTU recently.
