On April 18th, the DTU International School, in collaboration with the MayBank Kim Eng Securities Joint Stock Company, held a workshop entitled: “Success or Failure in the Vietnam Securities Markets”. The objective of the workshop was to provide students of Finance and Banking with practical knowledge of finance, to introduce ways of investing in securities and share experiences about the securities market in Vietnam today. Attendees included Ms. Nguyen Le Giang Thien, Head of PSU program at the DTU International School, Mr. Phan Dung Khanh, Manager of the Investment Analysis and Consulting Department and Mrs. Hoang Thi Ngoc Lan, Sales Manager of MayBank Kim Eng Securities, together with many DTU International School faculty and students.

Opening the workshop, Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Lan briefly introduced MayBank Kim Eng Securities and its present services. She highly appreciated the opportunity to partner with DTU to create more job opportunities to DTU graduates.
Mr. Phan Dung Khanh talked about his investment experiences and things to avoid when trading securities in Vietnam. With 15 years of work and research in national and international securities markets, Mr. Khanh amused workshop attendees with funny stories and interesting lessons about successful investors.
Hoang Thi Thanh Hue of K16 PSU said: “I am very happy to take part in this event. In addition to the theoretical knowledge learned in class, this workshop has provided me with the orientation I need for my future career. I expect DTU to hold more workshops like this one so that we can have the opportunity to learn about real-world situations and apply them in practice. If I am able, I will take up a career in the Vietnamese securities market.”
Closing the workshop, a representative of MayBank Kim Eng Securities offered internship and employment opportunities to graduates of Finance and Banking. The success of the workshop has opened up even more opportunities for DTU and local businesses to cooperate to provide real-world knowledge and job opportunities for future graduates.
