The Software Requirements Engineering Course Closing Ceremony

On January 25th, the Software Requirements Engineering course, jointly run by DTU and Da Nang’s Management Board as a part of its Information Technology and Communications (ITC) Development project, officially closed. Mr. Tran Van Dung, Vice-Director of the project, Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU Vice-Provost, Mr. Nguyen Kim Giang, Director of the DTU FastTrak Center and Ms. Catherine Dinh, CMU lecturer, together with many DTU lecturers and course attendees were present at the closing ceremony.

Beginning on January 14th, the course was specially designed for IT experts, who are working for software companies and the city corporation. The project was part of the ITC Development sub-project which is being funded by the World Bank. The objective is to focus on providing equipment to improve the efficiency of the urban Internet network and to develop staff for local e-government in the near future. The two-week course provided the trainees with specifications on systems, methods, engineering and software requirements, and so on.

Mr. Vo Van Luong, a DTU International School lecturer, commented: “This is one of the most important special courses that DTU provides trainees coming from different companies in the city. We were able to exchange ideas and experiences and get to know each other. So the course has been very successful”.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Le Nguyen Bao said: “It is a great honor for DTU to be chosen as an important partner in providing advanced training programs to business enterprises and relevant agencies in Danang. DTU will invite American lecturers to future training courses to improve training quality and, at the same time, provide attendees with the latest information available”.
 
Twenty-one attendees received CMU certificates and one received a DTU certificate. Dr. Le Nguyen Bao presented the special DTU award to Ms. Tran Thi Thu Nguyet, who passed the assessment test with the highest marks.
