The DTU Department of Medical Care Holds a Seminar on Vietnamese Teachers’ Day

The DTU Department of Medical Care held a mini-seminar on 18th November, 2011, to commemorate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. Attendees included Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nam, Vice-Director of the Danang Hospital, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Hoc, Vice-Director of BV199 and representatives from other local medical facilities.

Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Minh, DTU Vice-Rector said: “In recent years, the DTU Board of Rectors has invested heavily in the improvement of teaching and facility standards. In 2012, DTU is planning to offer a new Doctorate course in Business. Although the DTU Department of Medical Care was only established 2 years ago, it now employs thirty lecturers with Associate Professor, Masters and Doctorate degrees. We will soon collaborate with universities in the USA, Thailand and Taiwan in the teaching of medical care”. Dr. Minh offered his thanks to doctors and staff at local hospitals for supporting DTU interns.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nam congratulated DTU lecturers on Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. He said: “I am very happy with the remarkable achievements of DTU over the past 17 years. DTU’s new program in Medical Care will be a major step in providing many more qualified health care workers to our community in the coming years.

Established in 2009, the DTU Department of Medical Care offers courses at many levels. In 2012, students will be able to enroll in the new Pharmaceutical program.
