“Business Ideas Competition” Officially Launched at DTU

On the 14th of September, 2011 the “Business Ideas” competition was officially launched. This competition is collaboration between DTU, the Danang Association of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises and the Ho Nghinh Foundation for Technological Innovation.

Students from colleges and universities in Danang are eligible to present their business ideas in groups or individually to the judges, who represent local companies representatives and DTU. Students are free to choose any topic, such as Manufacturing, Trade, Services, Consulting, Finance, for example.

Dr. Vo Thanh Hai said: “We hope that the competition will be a good opportunity for all students to demonstrate their ability and creativity. At the same time, companies will be able to identify promising candidates for employment”.

Business ideas submitted must be original and meet certain criteria, such as social applicability and implementation feasibility. Winners will be entitled to a copyright of their concepts.

“Ideas relating to future of tourism, the environment or the local economy may stand a better chance of being considered”, Dr. Hai added.

Mr. Ho Viet, Chairperson of the Ho Nghinh Foundation for Technological Innovation said: “It is my honor to Sponsor this competition. I hope to see many new creative business ideas in business that will contribute to the growth of Danang”.

The three-round competition will take place from the 7th of December to the 26th of December, 2011. The Awards Ceremony will be held on the 9th of January, 2012 on the occasion of Vietnamese Students’ Day. Students interested in competing can contact the DTU Job Promotion Center at the DTU Campus to register from now until the 1st of October.
