To commenmorate its fifteenth Anniversary, on November 17th, 2009, Duy Tan University held a seminar, attended by Prof. Dang Vu Minh, a member of the Central Party Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee of Science, Technology and the Environment accompanied Prof. Pham Minh Hac and Prof. Tran Hong Quan, former Ministers of Education and Training, and leaders of the universities of Van Lang, Lac Hong, Hai Phong, together with academics from across the country.
The achievements of DTU during the 15 years were recounted by Vice-Provost Vo Thanh Hai and much appreciated by all the participants. Mr. Nguyen The Hung, Director of the Cadasa Company said “ It was a materstroke for DTU, as a self-financed, private university to establish such a high standard of education and facilities so successfully. Prof. Tran Hong Quan said “Duy Tan was one of the first private universities in Vietnam and has developed dynamically in innovation, creativity and quality”.
“The growth and success of Duy Tan is due to the excellent strategy conceived by the university, The Party and the State even through times of economic difficulty”, he added.
At the seminar, many valuable new ideas were suggested to enhance future development. Mr. Le Cong Co, Provost of Duy Tan University presented construction plans for the new Lien Chieu campus and the overall development strategy for the next ten years.
The contributions of the participants were documented and will be implemented to the benefit of Vietnamese education.
