On the evening of May 5th 2009, the final round of the Book Presentation Contest, jointly organized by the DTU Library and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities was held in the library.
Attending the contest were Mr Le Cong Co, DTU President and Acting Rector, Mr Vo Thanh Hai and Mr Le Nguyen Bao, DTU Vice Rectors, heads of departments and many students.
Twelve contestants selected from the first round took turns to presented their favorite books. The presentations were fascinating and left a strong impression on the audience. The participants also enjoyed the music program and fashion show put on by the students.
After the final two rounds, the contest came to a successful conclusion. The organizers offered five individual awards and one team award to the winners. The first-prize winner Van Thi Anh Nga, a student of the Faculty of Accounting said: “I only joined the contest to learning something and exchange ideas but am very happy with this award. It will be the motivation for me to study even harder in the future.”
The contest was held to commemorate World Book Day and to foster a reading culture amongst DTU students.
