"Journey to Connect, Enhance Innovation Capacity and Support for Startups at Universities and Colleges in Vietnam" Program

On January 16, the National Innovation Center (NIC), the Network of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centers of Universities and Colleges, BK Holdings, and the FTU Innovation and Incubation Space (FIIS) jointly held a program entitled: "Journey to Connect, Enhance Innovation Capacity and Support for Startups at Universities and Colleges in Vietnam" at DTU.

Representatives from 30 universities and Centers for Entrepreneurship
and nationwide actively participated in the program 
 
Representatives from nearly 30 universities and Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centers nationwide actively participated in the program, including Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Lac Hong University, VinUni, Thuy Loi University, Dong A University, Hanoi University of Industry, Hanoi Vocational College of High Technology, Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Hue University, and others. Participants shared valuable experiences and contributed constructive ideas to the Innovation and Entrepreneurship program.

Many ideas were proposed to enhance innovation and
entrepreneurship activities at universities and colleges
 
The program aimed to connect and enhance professional knowledge and skills for more effective implementation of Innovation programs at universities and colleges, and to upgrade and build Innovation models at incubators.
 
Dr. Truong Tien Vu, Head of the DTU Science and Technology Department, said: "DTU always values the role of innovation in its training activities, scientific research, business collaboration, technology transfer, and job opportunities for student. The University pays special attention to the training of entrepreneurship and innovation skills through job-oriented courses and business startups, business competitions, support for co-working spaces, research labs, and product manufacturing so that our students have the opportunity to carry out scientific research and deploy their startup ideas.
 
So far, many DTU students’ startup projects have advanced to the final rounds in national and international competitions. In addition, DTU also focuses on promoting networking activities and expanding the Innovation network among universities, local authorities and the business community, forming a 'Three - Party Model” (Universities, Businesses, and Government) with university playing a central role."
