From December 5 to 8, the 2023 Procon Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad and ICPC ASIA were organized at the Hue University of Sciences, with 600 contestants, the largest number ever, from 78 universities nationwide.
With determination, hard work and talent, Tran Van Duc from Duy Tan University overtook hundreds of others to win third prize.

Tran Van Duc said: “The Informatics Olympiad is a great opportunity to challenge myself and develop my programming skills. I spent much time preparing and was extremely interested in the latest high logic requirements. Although my results did not live up to expectations, participating in the contest enabled me to gain experience, and meet and exchange information with other contestants from all over Vietnam.”
Tran Van Duc is a powerful warrior in regular competitions and an outstanding CMU Cyber Security student at the DTU International School. He was awarded a full DTU scholarship in 2021.
Tran Van Duc added: “In addition to learning by myself, I attended lectures taught by Huynh Ba Dieu and Nguyen Quoc Long, to broaden my knowledge, motivate me, give me the energy to be more creative and do things that I enjoy. Each lecture was a journey of discovery and their guidance and the support of the university in general opened up new career opportunities, by diversifying my skill set and making me more adaptable and versatile in Information Technology."
Tran Van Duc was overjoyed to receive the prize for his sustained efforts and was encouraged to continue striving for even loftier heights in his studies.
In addition, Le Nhat Dinh Khai and Nguyen Minh Phu won third prizes for students not majoring in IT at ACM/ICPC, and Pham ThanhVy and Nguyen Ba Phat won third prizes at theCentral Region ACM/ICPC.
