DTU participates in the 2022 Viet Nam International Travel Mart

From December 9th to 11th, the Viet Nam International Travel Mart 2022 (VITM 2022), with the theme “Sea and Island Tourism - The strength of Viet Nam's Tourism”, took place at the Da Nang International Exhibition Center, featuring 300 company booths, 40 from Vietnam, including DTU, and from 6 foreign countries. 
 
Attendees included 200 leading Vietnamese tour operators and 160 guests from the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, India, Japan, South Korea and ASEAN. The objective of the exhibition was to boost national tourism business in the wake of the drop during the pandemic.

DTU staff brief visitors on local attractions
 
The event enabled Vietnamese companies to connect with new partners and potential markets, featuring several meetings on B2B, business-to-business and B2C business to consumer marketing. 
 
VITM 2022 also promoted the development of new tourism products tailored to visitors' needs, in order to attract more tourists to Danang and Vietnam in general, with a demonstration of the VR360 and Metaverse virtual reality technology "One touch to Danang"; gift-hunting; ethnic musical performances; Cham dancing; sketching local destinations; Danang cuisine; conical hats; hand-held fans; live Chatbot tourism in Danang; and lucky spin contests, with prizes.

World famous hotels, including the InterContinental, Hilton, Accor, Hyatt and the Sheraton attended, as well as recreational sports representatives from golf and marine sports companies. 
 
At their booth, DTU explained the prestigious multi-level and multi-disciplinary education programs that the university offers. DTU invests in international programs, facilities, experienced lecturers and a world-class working environment to provide the labor market with highly qualified, much needed Tourism graduates.
 
Deputy-Chairperson of the Danang People’s Committee, Ms. Ngo Thi Kiem Yen said: “VITM 2022 will assist both domestic and international companies to promote their brands, introduce their products and establish new relationships in Vietnam. At the same time, basic information will be provided on our local attractions and people, as well as some of Danang’s far-reaching economic accomplishments.”
