DTU Signs Agreement with the Hanoi CPC1 Pharmaceutical Company

On April 3, DTU signed an agreement with the Hanoi CPC1 Pharmaceutical Company to strengthen business partnerships in training and research, and assist graduates in locating suitable employment. The signing was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, General Director of Hanoi CPC1; Mr. Truong Anh Tu, Director of the CPC1 Danang branch; Associate Professor MD Nguyen Ngoc Minh; the Provost and Vice-Provost of Medicine & Pharmacy; Hanoi CPC1 representatives; and DTU lecturers and students.

Hanoi CPC1 Pharmaceutical was founded in 2009 and produces injection fluids, such as eye drops, nebulizer solutions, soft capsules, sprays, gels and creams. The company employs the high-grade aseptic BFS (Blow-Fill-Seal) technology, approved by the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and has branches in Hanoi, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City, in addition to a distribution network in 63 provinces and cities in Vietnam. Hanoi CPC1 currently sells 300 products and foodstuffs and several new products are under development to meet market demand.
 
Hanoi CPC1 exports to Taiwan, Iraq, the Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Yemen, and is expanding its business into the rest of Asia, Africa and Central America. Hanoi CPC1 was honored in July 2018 in recognition of their continuing contribution to pharmacology and, in May 2019, was awarded a second Vifotec prize for national science & technology innovation by the Vietnam Union of Science & Technology Associations and the Ministry of Science & Technology.

“DTU is a well-known university that we’ve always wanted to work with,” said Mr. Truong Anh Tu. “Through our partnership, we will inform students about career opportunities and requirements at our company on graduation, in both our manufacturing and business divisions. We also hope that we will be able to explore other ways of collaborating in the near future.”
 
DTU and Hanoi CPC1 Pharmaceutical agreed to work together to schedule career orientation meetings about the pharmaceutics industry, career guidance in job hunting and recruitment. DTU will also participate in CPC1’s workshops, quality assessment processes and other professional activities. CPC1 will arrange for student observational visits and internships positions in the company’s nationwide network.
 
Hanoi CPC1 representatives addressed career orientation with the topic “Open up opportunities leading to the future”, providing pharmacology and economics students useful information and a better understanding of job requirements and duties in sales, finance & accounting and quality control.
 
“Today’s meeting was really useful for students like us,” said Huynh Thi Quynh Huong of K23 YDH9. “Meeting face-to-face with dedicated company representatives in this field gives us a much clearer picture of our career opportunities. It also lets us know where we stand today and what we need in addition to be prepared for the future.”
