Exam to Shortlist Student Applicants for DTU International Programs

On 17th April, 2011, the DTU Enrollment Board held an exam for about 100 students who had applied for entry to the 3 DTU international programs associated with Carnegie Mellon, Penn State and California State universities in the USA.

Firstly, students heard details of the programs and career opportunities available to them on graduation. The three international programs involve three of the leading universities in America. Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) is one of the foremost American universities in the field of Information Technology and PSU is amongst the five biggest public universities in the US. California State is the biggest university in California. Most of the applicants were in the grade 12 high school students preparing for their university entrance exams. Those with the outstanding results in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics and English did not need to take this exam.

Many applicants took the exam

The students had to complete 3 parts of the test: Logic, English and an essay explaining their reasons for wanting to study at DTU. There were also some scholarships available for students with the best exam results, including scholarships from the Boeing Aircraft Company, Penn State University and DTU. Those who want to loan money for their studies may apply to the DTU Management Board.
