“Consulting Day” at Duy Tan University

On 3rd March, 2011, DTU coordinated with New World Magazine to hold a consulting day for students in 12th grade. This event was aimed to provide students with basic and necessary information before the university entrance exam. About 500 students from high schools such as: Phan Chau Trinh, Hoa Vang, Nguyen Hien, Ton That Tung and Tran Phu attended the consulting day at DTU Campus.

On behalf of the consultants, Mr. Vinh Thang, New World Magazine Deputy Editor, presented some basic information in the final exam and the enrollment 2011. According to him, students should focus more in studying to pass the final exam as it is “the key” for them if they want to study at colleges or universities. “If you study hard for the final exam, you can use that knowledge to do well in the university entrance exam later”, he said.

Students also had time to put questions to representatives from universities and colleges. Many concerns about majors, universities, steps to prepare the documents before the exam, the tuitions, scholarships, etc. were answered in details from the consultants. Ph.D. Trinh Thanh Toan, Vice Rector of Bach Viet College said: “It’s good for you to choose a major that you’re really interested in as this will decide your way to be successful or not. Financial condition is also a thing that you should not forget when choosing a university or college to apply”. Ph.D Le Nguyen Bao, DTU Vice Rector answered question about collaborated programs at DTU: “DTU is a multi-discipline university with various programs for learners to choose. We are offering some collaborated programs in Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, and Banking. In the enrollment 2011, we open a new major in Civil Engineering and Architecture under the standards of California State University (CSU) in America. DTU also has policies in financial aid for students and we will support you to find a job after your graduation”.
