On June 18, 2026, QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), one of the world's leading higher education ranking organizations, released the QS World University Rankings 2027 (QS WUR 2027). Accordingly, nine Vietnamese higher education institutions were included in this year's rankings, down from ten in the 2026 edition.  

The QS World University Rankings 2027 evaluated 1,504 higher education institutions from more than 100 countries and territories, (including 98 universities that entered the rankings for the first time). QS assesses universities based on nine key indicators: Academic Reputation: 30%, Employer Reputation: 15%, Faculty/Student Ratio: 10%, Citations per Faculty: 20%, International Faculty Ratio: 5%, International Student Ratio: 5%, International Research Network: 5%, Employment Outcomes: 5%, Sustainability: 5%
