Engaging competition that raises students’ awareness of the law
The 2026 “Wise Student” contest was organized by the Vietnam Competition Commission (under the Ministry of Industry & Trade) in coordination with the Ministry of Industry & Trade Youth Union. It provided a practical platform where students could learn about legal regulations governing multi-level marketing. Through the competition, the young people could strengthen their awareness of the law, develop critical thinking and analytical skills, and apply their knowledge to resolving real-world situations.

The 2026 “Wise Student” contest attracted a large number of students
After two rounds, the competition had attracted more than 20 thousand views and reached students from over thirty universities and colleges nationwide. These figures demonstrate the competition’s reach and the growing interest among students in legal issues related to everyday life and socioeconomic activities.
The final round was held at DTU with the five most outstanding teams representing five universities from five provinces and cities:
DTU (Danang),
Vinh University (Nghe An),
University of Law, Hue University (Hue),
Pham Van Dong University (Quang Ngai), and
Quy Nhon University (Gia Lai).
In the final round, the teams competed in three segments: (1) introduction, (2) legal skit, and (3) public speaking. Besides requiring a solid understanding of the law, all three segments had the contestants showcase their creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and persuasive communication skills. This made legal regulations - often considered dry - more relatable, engaging, and accessible to young people.
Ms Thuy Linh supports students and inspires them
As a special guest, Miss World Vietnam 2019 Luong Thuy Linh joined the students at the final round of the 2026 “Wise Student” contest. She interacted with the teams, cheered them on, and inspired them while sharing meaningful messages about increasing one’s awareness of the law and of protecting oneself against risks when studying, working, and starting a business.

Ms Thuy Linh inspired the students at the competition
Speaking with the students, Ms Thuy Linh noted that young people’s desire to challenge themselves, find jobs, do business, and achieve financial independence are entirely legitimate. However, when faced with attractive recruitment offers, investment proposals, or promises of quick wealth, students need to remain alert, investigate, and verify all information.
Ms Thuy Linh emphasized the importance of equipping oneself with legal knowledge and risk-identification skills, particularly the ability to distinguish between legitimate multi-level businesses and schemes that exploit this model for fraudulent purposes and personal gain. She expressed her hope that, after the competition, the students would not only possess additional knowledge to protect themselves but also spread a lifestyle of clear-mindedness, honesty, and respect for the law in their communities.
“Sustainable success comes from knowledge, hard work, and the right choices,” Ms Thuy Linh shared her message.
Her participation contributed to an exciting and cozy atmosphere during the final round while making messages about legal awareness, personal responsibility, and young people’s initiative more practical and inspiring.
