On June 1, 2026, the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) released the CWUR World University Rankings 2026. The prestigious annual ranking lists the top 2,000 universities out of 21,291 ranked higher education institutions, making it the largest academic ranking of global universities. The Center for World University Rankings grades universities on four factors: Quality of education (25%), Employability (25%), Quality of Faculty (10%), and Research Performance (40%), which includes Research Output, High-quality publications, Research influence, and Citations.
