DTU’s Creative Learning Environment Empowers Its Business and Economics Students to Build Their Personal Brand
At DTU, a creative learning environment that emphasizes hands-on practice and strong industry connections enables students in Business & Economics not only to acquire solid professional knowledge but also to shape their personal identity and values through a wide range of academic activities, extracurricular programs, real-world projects, and enterprise engagement initiatives.

World Champions at the ERPsim International Competition 2025
In recent years, DTU Business & Economics students have achieved remarkable progress, leaving a strong impression in many major national and international competitions. A significant milestone in their journey toward global recognition was marked when DTU students officially became World Champions at the ERPsim International Competition 2025 on June 5, 2025. This was the first time a Vietnamese team had achieved the highest ranking in this prestigious global competition. The 2025 finals featured the 15 strongest teams from countries including the United States, Finland, Canada, Mexico, Chile, China, Vietnam and the Philippines.
This is a highly meaningful playground for business management talents from leading universities and institutes worldwide, jointly organized by SAP University Alliances (an initiative of SAP, the global leader in enterprise and manufacturing management solutions) and HEC Montréal.

DTU students became World Champions at the ERPsim International Competition 2025
- Runner-up at the Vietnam Young Logistics Talents Competition 2024. The model “Supply Chain and Electronic Waste Collection Solutions through the HiE Platform in Da Nang City,” developed by the Logisayhi team from DTU, aims to optimize the electronic waste collection process, contributing to solutions for various environmental challenges while supporting the implementation of COP29 (United Nations) commitments toward sustainable climate finance goals.

DTU Business & Economics students have achieved remarkable awards in national and international contests
DTU students have also won numerous prestigious awards for their research and startup ideas developed right on campus, including:
- Women in Business Award at the Go Green in the City Global Competition 2018, held in Atlanta (USA);
- Grand prize at the Global Leadership Competition for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2021, awarded to DTU international student Frances Summer Dale V. Dy from the Philippines;
- A Second and Consolation prize at the ACA Accounting Master Challenge 2025;
- Second prize at the Startup Launchpad Program 2023 with the project “Co Tu Ethnic Community Tourism”;
- Second prize at the Da Nang Startup Innovation Connection Day 2019;
- Third prize at the 1st APEC Innovation Competition (2024–2025);
- Third prize at the National Startup Competition 2020;
- Third prize at the CDIO Academy Competition 2018 and a Consolation prize at the STR Asia Pacific Student Market Study Competition 2019, awarded to DTU international student Trish Maguta from the Republic of Zimbabwe.
SAP Asia-Pacific-Japan Regional Conference 2024 held at DTU and lecturers winning awards at international conferences
Thanks to its outstanding achievements in training high-quality human resources in in the fields of Business & Economics, DTU was also chosen as the host of the SAP Asia-Pacific-Japan Regional Conference 2024. The event gathered more than 150 delegates, including professors, PhD scholars, experts, lecturers, and researchers from leading universities worldwide such as University of Melbourne, Victoria University, University of Sydney (Australia), Tsinghua University (China), and University of Southern California (USA), Chiang Mai University (Thailand); Singapore Management University (SMU); the National University of Singapore (NUS); Myongji University (South Korea); the International Management Institute (India); the University of Santo Tomas (Philippines); and the University of Malaya (Malaysia). The conference was co-organized by SAP, the APJC Academic Board, the Academic Competence Center (ACC) Melbourne, and DTU. SAP ERP is currently one of the world’s leading enterprise resource planning systems, widely used by organizations and businesses worldwide.

At other major international conferences, DTU lecturers have also received numerous prestigious awards. Among them, Mr. Dang Thanh Dung, M.Sc., under the supervision of Dr. Nguyen Huy Tuan, Vice - Rector of the DTU School of Business & Economics, won the Best Paper Award at the 21st Asia Pacific Forum for Graduate Students’ Research in Tourism (APF 2025). The forum was held at the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).

At the International Joint Conference on Hospitality and Tourism 2023, Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU Provost, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norman Au from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) won the Best Paper Award for their research titled “The Potential of Facial Recognition Technology in Hospitality Management: Perspectives from Managers”. The study also received the Emerald-IJCHT Most Provocative Research Award, recognizing it as one of the most inspiring and thought-provoking research works in the field.

DTU - Penn State collaboration brings world-class programs to DTU students
Upon completing the program, students receive between 19 and 21 internationally recognized course completion certificates issued by the Pennsylvania State University. At the same time, students’ independence in learning and research is clearly fostered through exposure to the PBL (Problem-Based Learning/Project-Based Learning) teaching approach. This method enables DTU students to graduate with the confidence and capability to enter the global labor market.

Furthermore, after many years of implementing enterprise management software in training, on October 24, 2025, DTU renewed its partnership with MISA Joint Stock Company.

MISA Joint Stock Company transfers new software to DTU
On this occasion, MISA Joint Stock Company transferred several new software solutions to DTU to support teaching and training in Accounting and Auditing, including:
- AMIS Edu (online accounting software),
- SME 23 (offline accounting software),
- AI Marketing,
- AMIS HRM,
- MeInvoice, and
- AMIS Household Business.
These web-based platforms enable students to practice anytime and anywhere, enabling them to improve their digital skills and better meet the demands of businesses in the era of Digital Transformation.
Students participating in internships at various enterprises
DTU Business & Economics students also have extensive opportunities to participate in internships and gain practical experience at numerous organizations and corporations, including Samsung, Hyundai - Thanh Cong, LG, Ba Na Hills, Gameloft, IBM, and Dentium; banks such as VietinBank, VPBank, Sacombank, and Agribank; airlines including Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, and Emirates; as well as hotels and resorts such as InterContinental, Novotel, Marriott, Sheraton Four Points, Four Seasons - The Nam Hai, and Muong Thanh.

Internships at major companies help DTU students confidently enter the professional workplace
Through this process, DTU students gain exposure to professional work environments, apply the knowledge they have learned to real-world situations, and develop essential professional skills such as communication, analytical thinking, planning, and problem-solving. This experience serves as a “stepping stone” for DTU students to build connections with businesses, thereby expanding their career opportunities after graduation and as they begin their careers.
