On September 5, DTU in Da Nang held its opening ceremony for the 2026-2027 academic year and welcomed K32 new students.

The valedictorian and both salutatorians received full scholarships.
For the 2026 admissions season, DTU met its enrollment target set by the Ministry of Education and Training. The university also awarded many full and partial scholarships, scholarships to support students entering university, and other scholarships to students admitted this year.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU President, emphasized: “The university environment is a place where we grow together, and interactions among students are an important factor.
Gradually, AI technology will bring about changes and transform universities into places increasingly focused on research. Therefore, changes are needed to keep pace with global trends, ensuring that students have a truly meaningful university experience.”
After 32 years of growth and development, DTU has enrolled more than 33,289 PhD candidates, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
The university has 1,580 lecturers and staff members, including 1,009 lecturers. Of these, 392 hold doctoral degrees, the academic titles of Professor or Associate Professor, or both, representing 38.8% of the university’s lecturers.
At the opening ceremony, musical performances also made a strong impression by applying modern AI technology. This highlighted the integration of art and technology, affirming the quality of teaching and learning at the university.
