The event was attended by representatives from Nissan, a leading Japanese automotive manufacturer, and Hai Phong Group, alongside Dr. Nguyen Duc Hien, Head of DTU Department of Business Cooperation & Entrepreneurship, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Dac Binh, Provost of the School of Engineering & Technology, leaders of various faculties, lecturers from the Faculty of Mechanical - Electrical Engineering, and many Engineering & Technology students.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Duc Hien emphasized: “At DTU, education goes beyond specialized knowledge in the classroom and is always closely connected with real-world production and the recruitment needs of international corporations. For students in Automotive, Mechanical, and Engineering programs, strong technical skills need to be complemented by foreign-language proficiency, discipline, and an understanding of global workplace culture. The support of Nissan and Hai Phong Group provides a valuable bridge, helping students turn their dreams of pursuing opportunities around the world into reality.”

At the event, Nissan representatives introduced students to the working environment in Japan, stringent technical recruitment standards, employee benefits, and career advancement opportunities after being hired. They also highly valued the professional expertise, strong work ethic, and ability to adapt quickly of generations of DTU graduates who have previously worked at the company.

Sharing information about the recruitment and preparation process for students, Ms. Tran Hien, Business Director of Hai Phong Group, emphasized: “Hai Phong’s goal is not simply to recruit some students for a specific position, but to work with the University and Nissan to build a sustainable career pathway from the classroom to an international workplace.”

Accordingly, Hai Phong Group serves as a bridge connecting the University, students, and businesses throughout the process, from recruitment and Japanese-language training to professional skills training, interviews, application preparation, and pre-departure arrangements. These are also key components of the planned program for final-year students in DTU's Automotive, Mechanical, and Engineering programs.

Interested in the information shared at the program, many DTU students asked Nissan and Hai Phong Group representatives questions about the technical skills they should develop, effective ways to learn a foreign language, how to prepare their application materials, and opportunities for long-term residency and career development in Japan. The openness and thorough responses from the business representatives provided strong encouragement for the students as they prepare for their future careers while still in university.

The Career Orientation and Human Resource Development Program for the Automotive Technology Industry opened many new cooperation opportunities and provided DTU Automotive Engineering Technology students with valuable preparation to pursue opportunities in the global workforce with greater confidence.
