Research

Creative ideas, innovative technological solutions, and research projects aimed at addressing real-world societal challenges came together at the DTU Student Scientific Research Conference, held on June 4, 2026. Featuring 34 outstanding research projects selected from numerous faculty-and university-level research submissions, the conference once again demonstrated the vibrant growth of scientific research among DTU students.

This year, the projects were presented and evaluated by three expert panels: Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science; Economics and Social Sciences; and Health Sciences.

Through presentation and review sessions, the projects were assessed based on various criteria, including the novelty and creativity of the ideas, research quality, methodology, results achieved, practical applicability, as well as the scientific rigor, logical structure, and professionalism of the presentations.

This year’s award-winning projects reflected the diversity of research interests among DTU students across a wide range of fields, including AI, information technology, civil engineering, the digital economy, law, education, and health sciences. Many projects demonstrated innovative thinking, addressed contemporary issues, and showed strong potential for practical application.

After a period of rigorous and objective evaluation, the expert panels selected the most outstanding projects for recognition. The results not only acknowledged the students’ dedicated research efforts but also highlighted the practical value and potential contributions of these projects to society and to the advancement of science and technology.

In the field of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science:

-    Two First prizes to projects entitled: “Assessment of earthquake-induced progressive collapse in 3D reinforced concrete frames” and “Development of a Multi-Agent system to support Mathematics preparation for Vietnam’s National High School Graduation Examination”

-    Two Second prizes to projects entitled: “Study of factors affecting the production process of mango -passion fruit jam” and “AI-based layered classification for reducing false positives in Network intrusion detection systems”

-    Two Third prizes to projects entitled:” Redefining coastal public sanitation spaces: An Integrated design solution combining functionality and landscape experience” and “Application of AI in developing an Online Examination system with cheating detection support”

In the field of Economics and Social Sciences:

-    Two First prizes to projects entitled: “The Role of digital entrepreneurship education in shaping digital entrepreneurial intentions: A Multi-dimensional Analysis using NCA and PLS-SEM” and “Transactions involving crypto assets in Vietnam: Current situation and recommendations for improving the legal framework”

-    Two Second prizes to projects entitled: “How Digital remarketing shapes impulse buying behavior among young consumers in Da Nang: An emotional-cognitive perspective in the Digital era” and “Factors influencing international tourists’ Green tourism choices in Da Nang”

-    Two Third prizes to projects entitled:” Investigating the role of social media content consumption in shaping “Brain Rot” phenomena and the decline of critical Thinking: A Multi-dimensional analysis using NCA and PLS-SEM” and “Applying Digital storytelling to enhance Interest and Listening-Speaking skills among Preschool children

In the field of Health Sciences:

-    A First prize to projects entitled: “Formulation study of Hard capsules containing green tea (Camellia sinensis L.) Extract Phytosomes”

-    A Second prize to project entitled: “Evaluation of outcomes of laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer applying the ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) protocol at Hue Central Hospital

-    A Third prize to project entitled: “Investigation of factors affecting adventitious root biomass growth in Ngoc Linh Ginseng (Panax vietnamensis)”
