Building on their initial exchange activities and the opportunities created for students to study in Japan, the partnership between Duy Tan University (DTU) and Kanazawa University has continued to grow in both scope and depth. Marking a new milestone in this partnership, the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Engineering and Technology (VJIET) at DTU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kanazawa University, Japan, on August 25, 2026. The agreement opens up further opportunities for cooperation in education, scientific research, and international exchange.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Matsushima of Kanazawa University and a delegation of Japanese students. Commending the achievements resulting from the partnership between the two universities, Prof. Matsushima expressed his hope that the MOU would provide a solid foundation for both institutions to further promote student, faculty, and researcher exchanges, as well as other academic activities, thereby strengthening their ties.

In 2025, academic exchange activities involving students from both universities provided young people from Vietnam and Japan with opportunities to study together, engage in cultural exchange, and experience each other’s educational environments. Notably, five DTU students participated in an exchange program at Kanazawa University, broadening their academic experience and deepening their understanding of Japanese culture.

Under the newly signed MOU, the two institutions will focus on student exchanges; faculty and researcher exchanges; joint research projects and scientific conferences; the sharing of learning resources, publications, and academic information; and the development of new educational initiatives.

The MOU not only marks an important milestone in the partnership but also opens new doors to Japan for DTU students, enabling them to study, gain valuable experience, build international connections, and confidently develop into global citizens.
