Chinese Vice Consuls General in Da Nang Visit DTU
On July 13, 2026, DTU was honored to welcome a delegation from the Consulate General of China in Da Nang for an official visit and discussions. During the meeting, DTU expressed its sincere appreciation to Mr. Yang Shunfeng, Vice Consul General of China in Da Nang, for his contributions and support throughout his term of office. The university also welcomed Mr. Zhao Yi as the newly appointed Vice Consul General, expressing high hopes for a new chapter of bilateral educational cooperation and cultural exchange.

Over the years, the Consulate General of China in Da Nang and DTU have maintained close cooperation in cultural and academic exchanges and educational initiatives. The Consulate General’s support has enhanced the Chinese Language Department of the School of Languages, Humanities, and Social Sciences and created more opportunities for DTU students to learn, participate in cultural exchanges, and grow.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Yang Shunfeng said he was honored to have worked alongside DTU throughout his tenure. He noted that the two partners had jointly organized many meaningful activities to strengthen friendship and promote exchanges between Vietnam and China, including Chinese speech contests and various cultural exchange programs for students. He also expressed his admiration for DTU students’ strong foreign-language proficiency, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn. He voiced his confidence that the partnership between DTU and the Consulate General would continue to grow in the years ahead.

On behalf of the university leadership, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice-Provost, expressed his sincere gratitude to Mr. Yang Shunfeng for his dedicated efforts in strengthening ties and fostering cooperative activities between the Consulate General of China in Da Nang and DTU throughout his tenure. Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu also warmly welcomed Mr. Zhao Yi in his new role as Vice Consul General and expressed his hope that both sides would continue to implement practical and meaningful cooperation programs in education, research, and cultural exchange.
During the event, delegates watched archival footage tracing the partnership between DTU and the Consulate General of China in Da Nang. The video highlighted a wide range of cultural and academic exchanges, as well as student engagement activities, that have been successfully organized over the years. The DTU Board of Provosts presented flowers to Mr. Yang Shunfeng in recognition of the completion of his term of office and also congratulated Mr. Zhao Yi with flowers on his appointment to his new position.
The meeting concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere with a commemorative photo featuring representatives of the DTU Board of Provosts, the School of Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Chinese Language, and the delegation from the Consulate General of China in Da Nang. The occasion not only celebrated the partnership's achievements in recent years but also expressed both partners' shared aspirations for even stronger, more effective collaboration in the future, further strengthening the friendship and educational cooperation between Vietnam and China.
