On September 7, 2026, representatives of several businesses and organizations visited DTU to present Nguyen Dinh Vuong with meaningful scholarships. The awards provided not only financial assistance but also valuable emotional support, strengthening his confidence and enabling him to focus on his studies as he takes the first steps toward fulfilling his university aspirations.

Nguyen Dinh Vuong’s educational journey has never been easy. The pain caused by his illness, his family’s financial hardship, and numerous challenges in life repeatedly interrupted his education. Nevertheless, driven by perseverance and a passion for learning, Vuong continued striving to overcome adversity. After years of determination, he officially became a Graphic Design freshman at DTU at the age of 24, embarking on a new journey to pursue his dream of higher education.

Moved by Vuong’s story and perseverance after reading an article about him in Tuoi Tre newspaper, Nguyen Thi Kim Bai, a lecturer in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at DTU, reached out to organizations and businesses to seek support for him.

Hoping to ease his difficulties and provide him with better learning and personal-development opportunities, she became a bridge connecting the generosity of the community with this remarkable student.

The IRIS English Language System presented Vuong with VND 5 million in cash and an IELTS course valued at VND 65 million. This support will help him cover some of the initial expenses of university life while giving him an opportunity to improve his English, an important skill for both his academic studies and future career.

The Black Moon Fund, established by Black Moon Media, also awarded Vuong a scholarship for an AI Agent See course valued at VND 52.68 million. The course will give the Graphic Design student an opportunity to explore new technologies and tools and gradually develop essential skills as artificial intelligence continues to transform the creative and design industries.

Expressing his gratitude, Nguyen Dinh Vuong said: “I have a strong passion for Graphic Design and great confidence in DTU’s academic program, which is why I decided to enroll here. During my first days at the university, I was fortunate to receive tremendous care, kindness, and support from my lecturers and fellow students. Their compassion and encouragement have given me greater confidence and motivation to keep moving forward.

“Receiving these meaningful scholarships from businesses today has left me deeply moved and grateful. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the businesses, my lecturers, and DTU for their continued care, support, and assistance. These scholarships will motivate me to work even harder in my studies, overcome the challenges ahead, and strive for a brighter future.”

In addition to supporting Nguyen Dinh Vuong, the Black Moon Fund awarded nine scholarships to students in the DTU Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. These scholarships provide practical support and renewed motivation for students facing financial hardship, helping them continue their education with greater confidence.

Behind these scholarships is an inspiring story of collaboration among lecturers, DTU, businesses, and the wider community in supporting students. Beginning with a newspaper article about the perseverance of a remarkable young man, the compassion of a DTU lecturer became the bridge that connected generous donors with the right person at the right time. This story also reflects the spirit of compassion and social responsibility that DTU consistently strives to uphold.
