More Academic Partnerships Discussed at the FICAP Conference
On August 8-9th, DTU representatives attended at the FICAP Conference in Ho Chi Minh City. The conference was held by the University of Natural Sciences and focused on “Implementing academic partnerships in developing countries”. This was the first time that AUT University, in Auckland, New Zealand, Keuka College in the USA, Jiliang University in China, Uppsala University in Sweden and some of the Vietnamese universities had taken part in the conference.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Man, Dean of the DTU International School gave a presentation on “Difficulties in implementing advanced academic programs in Vietnam”. He gave examples of the implementation of the CSU, CMU and PSU programs at DTU, which were received the interest and appreciation of attendees and was an excellent opportunity to introduce national and international institutions to DTU.
“The conference helped DTU to exchange ideas and to look for new partnerships in the development of advanced academic programs. Also, we were able to learn more from the other universities about the best ways to develop study-aboard programs, like the 1+1+2, 2+2, 3+1 programs at DTU”, said Mr. Man.
