The DTU Robocon Team’s Impressive First Round Performance
As soon as the DTU-Warrior team had shot the first leaf into the Moon, the Tien Son Sports and Entertainment Complex exploded with shouts of joy from the audience, who have a passion for Robocon Competitions. The impressive wins of the DTU-Warrior and the DTU Veyron teams in the first round performance of the 2013 Central Region of Vietnam Robocon Competition gave the 8 DTU Robocon teams the opportunity to look forward to victory this year.

In the first round, two of the eight DTU Robocon teams, DTU-WARRIOR and DTU-VEYRON, competed against strong competitors from the University of Command Information, Danang Polytechnic University, Dak Lak Vocational Training College, and Dong A University. With very fast robots, the DTU-WARRIOR and DTU-VEYRON teams gained resounding victories by constantly overwhelming the competition. Being the only teams able to shoot leaves into the Moon, DTU-WARRIOR came first in group A and DTU-VEYRON in Group B, officially entering the second round of the Regional finals.

Watching the DTU robots moving around so fast, we can see that the technology and tactics applied by DTU Robocon teams have reached a new high. We are proud of the impressive wins of the DTU -WARRIOR and DTU-VEYRON teams today”.
Nguyen Anh Tuan of the DTU-WARRIOR team said: “We have made careful preparations to obtain the best results this time. We were so excited at the moment our first leaf was shot to the Moon. This has inspired us all. The investment of the DTU Board of Provosts and Management and the enthusiastic support of the DTU faculty have enabled us to improve our robot construction and tactics. With the power we have demonstrated so far this year, we can dare to dream of the championship.”
