Four Vietnamese Universities enter the CWUR Top 2000

In 2019, Vietnamese universities were included for the first time by the Center of World University Rankings, (CWUR), in the top 2,000 of 25,000 universities worldwide. CWUR is now the largest international university ranker. The four Vietnamese universities ranked by CWUR were:

1. Vietnam National University in Hanoi, 1,510th

2. Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh city, 1,585th

3. Duy Tan University in Danang, 1,854th

4. Ton Duc Thang University, 1,978th

DTU is ranked by the CWUR

CWUR uses following factors in their ranking system:

- Quality of Education, (25%): measured by the number of a university alumni who have won major international awards, prizes and medals, relative to the university's size.

- Alumni Employment, (25%): measured by the number of a university alumni who have held CEO positions in the world's top companies, relative to the university's size.

- Quality of Faculty, (10%): measured by the number of academics who have won major international awards, prizes, and medals.

- Research Performance, (40%):

• Research output, (10%): measured by the total number of research papers.

• High-quality publications, (10%): measured by the number of research papers published in top-tier journals.

• Influence, (10%): measured by the number of research papers appearing in highly-influential journals.

• Citations, (10%): measured by the number of highly-cited research papers.
