The Samsung Vietnam Complex, the Samsung Vina Electronics Company, the Junior Achievement (JA) Vietnam and DTU signed an MoU, on continuing the Samsung Innovation Campus project in Danang during 2023.
The objective is for students to improve their employment qualifications by gaining a broader practical knowledge of technology applications.
Samsung will work with DTU to provide education programs for lecturers and students under the Samsung Innovation Campus project, and plans to offer a Big Data training program for 25 students in 2023, and four courses on the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Basic Programming Skills by 2024.
On completion, the top ten students will be eligible for internships at the Samsung Research and Development Centre in Vietnam and, meanwhile, Samsung will provide the technology and labs to implement the SIC at the university.

The SIC program was initiated in Vietnam in 2019 and now comprises six thousand lecturers and students nationwide. It was designed to provide a foundation that combines future core technology skills with soft skills and practical work experience.
Samsung partners with universities nationwide to empower the younger generation to pioneer the success of the ongoing Industrial Revolution 4.0, by equipping them with the sustainable skills and technologies that will shape their future.

Chairman of the municipal People's Committee, Le Trung Chinh, said: "As we focus on attracting investment in a number of key projects, we welcome the Samsung Group to Danang. I believe this project will help DTU students broaden their employment prospects, acquire practical technology experience and boost the qualifications of human resources in our city in general."
General Director of the Samsung Vietnam Complex, Mr. Choi Joo Ho, said: "In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, when advanced information and communication technologies have been implemented in all aspects of the economy and society in general, a knowledge of digital technology and information systems is vital. The expansion of SIC throughout Viet Nam refines the technological talents of the younger generation of Vietnam and Samsung is now committed to help the students of Central Vietnam realize their dreams.”
